A mix of my own work, influences and inspirational work

This blog is a place for me to post some of my own work and inspirational work and people. I’ve been sat here trying to think of my biggest influence in my work and life and had a hard time coming up with one. Then I remembered Joel Scott.
I’d been friends with Joel for as long as I can remember, growing up round the corner from each other. On June 13th 2009 I received the news that Joel had died in an accident by a river a week after his 19th birthday. This event really changed my life and myself as a person.
Joel was the most upbeat person you could ever meet, never did he not have a smile on his face and he really enjoyed every single day he had and made the most of his time on this Earth.
This really gave me the kick up the backside that I needed. I pushed myself to try and live everyday like it was my last for Joel. It gave me the push I needed to get into university, it made me determined to save my money and go to Australia which I did in November last year, and to push myself every day because I don’t know which one will be my last one.
So my inspiration in life isn’t a celebrity or something cliched like that. It’s my childhood friend that lived his life to the fullest.
